One more 5k done.

So this weekend I ran a 5k and managed a decent time of about 34 minutes -- so 10.55 minute miles approximately.  I was extremely happy with those results, but obviously I would like to step it up a bit.

It's been far too long since I've posted, but thankfully my counterpart has been picking up the slack for me.   Thanks, counterpart.

So training is going well.  What wasn't going well is how many of our 12 person Ragnar team decided to bail.  Essentially, we went from 12 to 6 almost overnight.  But we put out the call on Facebook, and it turns out there are others in the world as crazy as us, and things are looking extremely promising again.

The best part of running the 5k was that after the training I've been doing, it wasn't difficult.  It was definitely doable. That puts the rest of this journey in perspective as well, because as daunting as it is, it's doable.

My wife and Kids and I are headed out on vacation in the near future.  Gonna try some hot weather running in Florida.  That will fairly accurately simulate the dog days of summer in Minnesota.
