AND HERE WE ARE.
Well, it's the eve of the big race and I'm nervous as all get out. I've done runs that are longer than any of my legs. I've boosted my mile pace to around 9:30. But now it's time for the big show, and I have this terrible nervousness in the pit of my stomach that won't quit. But hey. I'm in the best shape I've been in since college. Maybe since high school. My legs, my weight, my lungs, my heart -- everything is great. And I feel awesome. It's been a long journey from New Year's Eve, texting Travis after midnight and after several cocktails, saying HEY WANNA RUN A RAGNARRR?
And here we are. It's ON. I'm proud of us, dude. And I'm proud of my wife, also running, and of the rest of our team. Let's f'n do this.
