Runner Drank Review: Nuun

As previously mentioned, I am not an athlete.  Advertising has taught me that when I sweat, it is IMPERATIVE that I replace my electrolytes with Gatorade, and so when running became part of my life, Gatorade became my recovery drink of choice (I mean, it's been my hangover recovery drink of choice for years, other than than that very dark period when I was drinking Pedialyte on Sunday mornings, because somedays even Gatorade is too much.  Hooray college!)

The thing is, Gatorade is basically just sugar water.  Sure, they make a zero calorie version, but that's even sweeter and just tastes weird.  As I started reading about the various  CYBERNANOCHEMICALS (that's just to scare Ben) that other Ragnarians swear by, I kept seeing references to Nuun, a tablet that you drop in water that provides sodium, magnesium, potassium, and in certain varieties, THAT SWEET SWEET CAFFEINE.  I started incorporating it into my post workout and occasional hangover routines, and I'm sold.  While I can't scientifically say that it helps my muscles recover faster, it's delicious and low calorie, and did I say it has CAFFEINE!?

So far, i've tried out the Cherry Limeade, Lemon Lime, and Triforce i mean Tri-Berry flavors.  They're all pretty good, but so far the Cherry Limade is my favorite.

Final Review: 9 wolves thirsty for my blood out of 10; I can't imagine running without it at this point.
